Elemental (REVIEW)

Disney Pixar's Elemental is a visually stunning tweenage classic but not a masterpiece.

Disney Pixar has lost its spark. They should focus on what makes kids kids - the fun adventure of getting lost in your backyard using your imagination to save your friends from "hot lava" while jumping on a trampoline. Or playing hide and go seek in your house that is enchanted. Make the kids want to watch the movie over and over... a Bug's Life or Toy Story. Disney is missing the mark on adventures for Kids.

Sure Elemental takes audiences on a magical journey through the four elements - earth, air, fire, and water - but it mixes societal issues of segregation and isolation that kids don't have to worry about. The story follows a young girl named Luna, who discovers she is Fire and hot headed. She causes her family owned shop to spring a leak and the city water inspector shuts down her family business. As Luna embarks on an epic adventure to save her village from an impending disaster, she learns valuable lessons about the balance of nature and the importance of teamwork and love. However, It mixes love and romance and issues of society in an animated feature that should be advertised and marketed to only adults.

From the very first frame, the animation is breathtaking and captivating, with vibrant colors and intricate details that bring the world of Elemental to life. The great animation just can't save this movie.

Disney Pixar's Elemental is an OK movie that can be missed - Skip the theater and wait for Disney+.
